No two people’s relationships with food are the same. Your upbringing, culture, preferences, and lived experiences are just a few of the things that impact how you feel about food.
Here at eatwellgeorgia, we are deeply committed to partnering with you to explore the possibilities of a peaceful relationship with food we explore functional eating behaviors and learn new, healthy coping skills.
No two eating disorders are the same. Your different lived experiences - anxiety, depression, perfectionism, obsessive thoughts/behaviors, weight stigma, trauma, and sensory issues just to name a few - have an impact on your recovery journey. Together we will honor
and recognize these experiences while actively working to rebuild a different
relationship with food that is supportive of recovery.
Everyone has a unique relationship with food and their body. For you, it may be stuck in a pattern of lifestyle changes in the pursuit of health that just don’t seem to be working. Or maybe what the number on the scale says dictates your food choices that day. We believe that your physical nourishment supports you in living fully from your values. Together, let’s rediscover the joy of eating, find freedom from diet culture, and learn to care for your whole self.
At eatwellgeorgia, we understand that disruptions to nutrition and
growth may happen outside the context of an eating disorder. Clients may
lack the ability to self-regulate nutrition needs for other reasons. These reasons
may include sensory or behavioral issues, lack of appetite cues, overwhelming anxiety, or some other primary diagnosis such as ADHD where eating issues are secondary. We help clients understand the underlying mechanisms that may disrupt their ability to perceive nutrition needs and develop skills and tools to manage their health effectively.
