You’re not meant to go through recovery alone. In fact, as dietitians, it’s our job to be your exit buddy as you leave the world of diet culture and explore the realm of eating intuitively.
All of our dietitians value food freedom and Health at Every Size ® aligned care.
We humans thrive when we can connect with ourselves and others, especially when that involves a stress-free food environment as a gathering place.
Will we be a good fit?
We are all born with intuitive feeding and eating skills. For various reasons throughout our lives (especially diet culture and a weight centric society), we can lose touch with those skills. The world tends to make health look a certain way and sometimes striving for that is the exact opposite of health. But the good news is you can rebuild your relationship with food and your body over time in a way that feels manageable and supportive to health - which encompasses more than just nutrition and movement!
If you’re looking for a dietitian who is not afraid to say hard things (with compassion and empathy, of course!), wants to unpack dysfunctional food and exercise beliefs that no longer serve you, and desires to work with the whole family unit to heal your relationship with food, let’s work together. I’m able to work with clients in Georgia, Illinois, and New York.
Personal bio
Fair warning: my southern accent is strong to real strong! I’m a Georgia native and southern girl through-and-through. Most of my days are spent staying busy doing things that energize and bring me joy. I never shy away from a new experience - painting class, wine pairings, rescuing cats, and writing raps. Yes, really. I was once challenged to a rap battle by a client and I still owe them a rebuttal! Something that brings me the most joy is hosting impromptu friend gatherings with a nice food and beverage spread. Gathering with my favorite people around food is a sense of peace I hope for anyone and everyone!

Nutrition philosophy
A person’s relationship with food is rarely about the food alone - it is just the tip of the iceberg.
It is important to take into consideration all aspects of health - mental, physical, emotional, spiritual etc and ensure those are given equal attention. Once all are in sync/tandem, you are truly able to pursue health in a holistic way and you will be able to trust your body to do what is best to take care of you.
Will we be a good fit?
If you’re looking for a dietitian who walks alongside you to view health in a more sustainable way, is open to exploring factors outside of food that contribute to your relationship with food and health, and who is collaborative but more direct, let’s work together.

Atlanta, Georgia is my home. And if I could snap my fingers right now, I would be transported to a farm that I could call home (within Atlanta, of course!) . The only problem is, I struggle keeping plants alive which probably wouldn’t bode well for my dream farm life. If I had to give a TED Talk right now on the spot, it would be about how carrots are underrated. Seriously, they can be eaten in so many forms... raw, cooked, or in a cake.

Life’s too short to be at war with your body. There is a better life beyond your eating disorder.
Nutrition can be extremely overwhelming, with a million different unqualified people on the internet telling you what to eat and how to eat it! Stripped down to science, nutrition can be simple. Food equals energy that our bodies can use to live, work, teach, love, etc. And all foods can be a part of a balanced diet. Yes, All. Even poptarts.

Unlike the rest of the team, I'm not from Georgia! I grew up in Nashville, TN, and moved to Atlanta several years ago. My little family just grew when we welcomed our baby girl into our lives - she is an absolute angel! If you are a fan of The Office or Parks and Rec, we are going to get along great - I have watched them every night on repeat for the past 5 years.

Nutrition philosophy
Uncomfortable feelings about food or the body are the body sending messages that it needs care. When we figure out how to fulfill these needs, we can find peace with food and our bodies.
Will we be a good fit?
Everyone has physical and emotional needs from food, but our needs are unique. Trying to learn or relearn to meet these needs on our own can be overwhelming because our society often provides mixed, missing, or inaccurate messages on nutrition and nurturing our bodies and souls. But with support, we can learn to nourish our bodies with all their needs and establish peace with food and our bodies.

I work virtually from Texas, where I spend my time otuside of work in a hodge-podge of different activities. One of my new favorites is soccer, which I played as a child but had taken a break from while I was younger and doing competitive gymnastics and dance, then rowing, (and now I love working with athletes). I recently started a vegetable garden, and I want to grow fruit trees, too. (TBD if it is a success.) I also sing and love music, and I love getting together with friends and family for board or yard games.
